This was, without a doubt, the scariest place that I have ever been. Although I have photographed several other graveyards, this one was terrifying. I’ve actually been here before and there are actually a couple of photos from this place in my Cursed Forest series. That time I simply couldn’t stay here for more than a couple of minutes. However I promised myself to come back. Today I forced myself to stay for about 30-40 minutes. I was actually followed by a guy who was taking his dog for a walk. He was probably intrigued by the fact that someone was actually taking photos there. In the end I decided to talk to him and he said something that sort of made me forget (at least for some time) of the dark connotation of the place: “It’s very beautiful. When I die, I hope I get to be buried in a place like this.” That probably sums everything up. Although you can almost smell death it is nevertheless an amazing place. Too much talking; now look at the photos :)

Indeed beautiful and strange place. However I don’t understand why you say it’s scarry. It’s rather calm, and full of life, present and past in the same place. Where is it?

that’s a good place for filming a scary movie or some sort of mistery.it’s another dimension, i don’t like cemetry, i wouldn’t feel to good to be by myself in a cemetery. Is too dramatic for me, i love life!

Like a fairy tale…or better like in a Dostoievski’s description of a ponderous atmosphere
